Hosted SMS and Verified Caller ID

We know that dealerships oftentimes have existing customer-facing phone numbers that they want to use in ExpertConnect. This article will explain the benefits of Hosted SMS and Verified Caller ID and why this might be a good option for your Dealership.
Hosted SMS allows a dealership to mask an ExpertConnect team phone number with an existing legacy phone number. Any texts to the legacy phone number will automatically forward into ExpertConnect.
Verified Caller ID allows ExpertConnect to use a dealership's existing phone number (with another carrier) for outbound caller ID with a team in ExpertConnect. This process should be combined with either Hosted SMS or WhatsApp BYON for messaging
Meeting Requirements:
- An authorized user who is permitted to sign the electronic Letter of Authorization form.
- An employee who is available to answer a call and enter the OTP verification code.
We cannot ensure that your phone number is able to be hosted until we check with our carrier. Please send an email to expertconnect@johndeere.com or create an ExpertConnect ticket to request if a number can be hosted.
