Overview

This article explains how to create a ticket with a Team on ExpertConnect. Before you can submit a ticket to a team, the team must first be added to your Contact List.

Important: When you open a ticket with another dealer or dealer team, the ticket will be created with you as the customer, not as the advisor on that ticket.

 

Prerequisite: Add the Team to Your Contact List

To create a ticket with a team, you must first add that team as a contact.

Steps

  1. In ExpertConnect, go to contacts > teams.
  2. Use the search bar to find the team you want to contact.
  3. Click the plus (+) icon next to the team name to add it to your contact list.
Note: Only public teams will appear in the search results.
 

Creating a Ticket with the Team

Once the team has been added to your contact list, you can select that team when creating a new ticket in ExpertConnect and proceed with submitting your request as usual.

What Happens If the Team Is Hidden?

If you try to contact a hidden team, the team will not be available to add, and an error message will appear.
 

How to Resolve This

  • Hidden teams must add you as a contact from their side.
  • You will need to contact the company or team owner and request access so communication can be enabled.
